Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc won a 50 percent stake and the right to operate the presalt block 24 in Angola, said Manuel Vicente, chairman of state-owned oil company Sonangol.
Statoil ASA will operate block 22 and Total SA was awarded block 25, where it will partner with BP, Statoil and Sonangol P&P, Vicente told reporters today in Luanda, the capital. Sonangol will hold the other 50 percent stake in block 24, he said.
