Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s grain stockpiles were 29.3 million metric tons as of Dec. 1, up 63 percent from a year earlier, the state statistics office said.
Wheat stockpiles rose by 50 percent to 11.1 million tons from 7.4 million tons last year, the Kiev-based office said in a statement on its website today. Corn stocks doubled to 13.9 million tons from 6.9 million tons a year earlier, according to the statement.
Barley stockpiles increased by 23 percent to 2.7 million tons from 2.2 million tons last year. Sunflower seed stocks rose by 6 percent to 5.6 million tons, the office said.
