Egypt Purchases 15,000 Tons of Soybean, Sunflower Oils

Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Food Industries Holding Co., a state- run Egyptian company, purchased 15,000 metric tons of soybean and sunflower oils today.

The company bought 6,000 tons of soybean oil from Alex Seeds for 6,700 Egyptian pounds ($1,115) a ton, Vice Chairman Abdel Sattar Soliman said by phone from Cairo. It also purchased 9,000 tons of sunflower oil from Toepfer International at $1,117 a ton.

Prices include freight costs, and the oils are for delivery between Jan. 10 and Jan. 31, Soliman said.
