Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Deutsche Bank AG’s Chief Executive Officer Josef Ackermann was the target of a mail bomb that was intercepted at the bank’s office in Frankfurt, Germany, today, Reuters reported, citing a senior U.S. law enforcement official.
A package, addressed to Ackermann, contained explosives and shrapnel, Reuters cited the official as saying.
The official said the package had a return address at the European Central Bank, whose headquarters are also in Frankfurt, Reuters reported.
