Chevron Leaked Up to 330 Barrels a Day at Brazil Field, ANP Says

November 30, 2011

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Chevron Corp. leaked 220 to 330 barrels a day for eight days at the Frade project off the coast of Brazil and the country’s oil regulator is investigating the spill, said an official at the oil regulator’s press office, who can’t be named due to agency policy.

Chevron appears to have halted the leak after plugging a well at the project, the official said in a telephone interview from Rio de Janeiro.
