Thai Premier Admitted to Bangkok Hospital With Food Poisoning

Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra checked into a Bangkok hospital today with food poisoning, prompting her to miss a weekly Cabinet meeting, government spokesman Thitima Chaisang said.

Yingluck, 44, was admitted to Praram 9 Hospital in Bangkok, Thitima told reporters today. Yingluck became prime minister on Aug. 9 after her party won a majority in July elections.
