Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- German stocks advanced, with the benchmark DAX Index climbing 0.4 percent to 5,872.57 as of 1:27 p.m. in Frankfurt. The gauge is still headed for a weekly retreat of 3 percent.

EON AG and RWE AG, Germany’s biggest utilities, climbed at least 1.8 percent.
