Chinese Yuan Should Be Allowed to ‘Float Freely,’ Locke Says

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- China should let the yuan “float freely” and allow the market determine the exchange rate, Gary Locke, the U.S. Ambassador to China, said at a conference in Beijing today.

The Chinese currency shouldn’t be “artificially pegged,” Locke said.
