Nov. 17 (Bloomberg) -- MetLife Inc., the largest U.S. life insurer, has an improved outlook after expanding outside the country with its purchase of American Life Insurance Co., A.M. Best said.
The outlook was raised to “stable” from “negative” based on “A.M. Best’s belief that MetLife’s integration of the Alico organization has been effective to date, reflected in targeted rebranding efforts and growing sales,” the ratings firm said today in a statement on the New York-based insurer.
