Nov. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Canada’s production of wheat, including durum, may total 24.16 million metric tons in the year that began Aug. 1, up from last year’s harvest of 23.167 million, the Canadian Agriculture Ministry said.
The harvest excluding durum may total 20.221 million tons, compared with 20.142 million a year earlier, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada said today in an e-mailed statement. Production of durum, used to make pasta, may total 3.94 million tons, up from 3.025 million last year. The Agriculture Ministry’s forecasts were unchanged from last month.
