Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA, Poland’s dominant gas company, signed an agreement with the country’s pipeline operator Gaz-System SA to import more natural gas in December via the Yamal pipeline, Gaz- System said in statement on its website.
The company, known as PGNiG, has a similar deal for November. The procedure allows for buying gas from western Europe and receiving it in Poland using the pipeline’s “virtual reverse” technology. The fuel would physically flow from OAO Gazprom, Russia’s export monopoly.
