Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
The Ipsa index rose 0.5 percent to 4,348.51. The MSCI Chile index retreated 0.9 percent to 2,404.10.
Cruz Blanca Salud SA (CRUZBLAN CC) advanced 4.6 percent to 470 pesos, the biggest increase in nine weeks. Chile’s second- largest listed health insurer and medical services provider by revenue was initiated at “buy” at Santiago-based brokerage IM Trust SA Corredores de Bolsa.
E-CL SA (ECL CC) fell 0.1 percent to 1,321.2 pesos, its second day of declines. Northern Chile’s largest power generator was cut to “hold” from “buy” at Banco Santander SA.
Lan Airlines SA (LAN CC) increased 2.4 percent to 12,488 pesos, the steepest advance in three weeks. Latin America’s largest airline by market value filed an F-4 Form registration request to the Securities and Exchange Commission, including the preliminary format in which Lan will swap Lan and Tam SA shares in the U.S.
Soc. Quimica & Minera de Chile SA (SQM/B CC) advanced 0.5 percent to 29,386 pesos. Chile’s largest fertilizer producer gained in line with the price of agricultural commodities, which signaled higher demand for its products.
