Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said there is consensus among leaders from the 20 biggest economies that their finance ministers can’t wait until their next scheduled meeting in Mexico in February to gather and discuss issues including the euro-region debt crisis.

“It looks like we’re going to have yet another meeting of finance ministers and central bankers -- finance ministers anyway, I’m not sure about the governors,” Flaherty said today in a speech in Berlin. “The consensus view is certainly that we can’t wait that long to develop more clear resourcing and implementation plans with respect to the situation in Europe.”
