Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex Index rallied 2.2 percent to 1,488.86 by the 6:45 p.m. close in Moscow. The dollar-denominated RTS Index gained 2.8 percent to 1,526.19.
The following were among the most active stocks in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parenthesis:
OAO Gazprom (GAZP RX) extended gains after the world’s biggest natural-gas producer forecast revenue at its Russian power-generating units will grow. The shares surged 4.3 percent to 182.62 rubles. Gazprom’s OAO Mosenergo and OAO TGK-1 units jumped 2.5 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX), Russia’s largest oil producer, gained for the first day in three, adding 3.8 percent to 218.65 rubles. Crude advanced as much as 1.6 percent to $93.79 a barrel in New York.
OAO Sberbank (SBER03 RX), Russia’s biggest lender, rose for the first day in three after the ruble strengthened against the dollar. The shares climbed 2.4 percent to 78.95 rubles in Moscow.
