Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index gained 3.5 percent to 20,012.08. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index rose 3.2 percent to 2,654.06.
Mining shares surged as European leaders agreed to expand a bailout fund to $1.4 trillion and metals advanced in New York and London, said Maria Belen Vega, an analyst at brokerage Kallpa Securities SAB.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ PE), a Canadian exploration company, rose 17 percent to 14 cents. Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT PE), a Canadian gold and copper exploration company, gained 9.1 percent to 12 cents. Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), the country’s biggest producer of the metal, jumped 7.1 percent to $32.01. The company is scheduled to release third-quarter earnings tomorrow. Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, climbed 6.8 percent to 47 cents. Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and lead producer, rose 6.8 percent to 47 soles. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold exploration company, advanced 6 percent to $2.84.
