Sarkozy, Merkel Spoke by Phone Today on Euro Area, Elysee Says

Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke by phone today to discuss the euro crisis, according to a spokesman for Sarkozy. They are scheduled to meet European leaders tonight in Brussels, then at a summit tomorrow and at an Oct. 26 summit intended to complete a plan to address the debt contagion.
