Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- A meeting tonight between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy also will include officials from the European Union, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and EU Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn will attend the meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. in Brussels, said Guy Schuller, spokesman for Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker.
Juncker, who also leads the group of euro-area finance ministers, and the finance ministers of Germany and France also will attend tonight’s meeting, as will EU President Herman Van Rompuy
and European Commission President Jose Barroso, Schuller said.
