Oct. 18 (Bloomberg) -- DuPont Co.’s Pioneer Hi-Bred unit filed a lawsuit accusing Monsanto Co. of infringing two patents related to ways to improve the quality of seeds harvested from maize plants.

The complaint was filed today in federal court in Des Moines, Iowa.
