Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The United Nations’ World Food Programme bought $1.1 million of sugar from Suiker Unie unit Limako Suiker BV.
The sweetener is for delivery to various destinations, the Rome-based agency said on its website today. The WFP also bought $611,252 of wheat from Agro-Star Grain for delivery to Afghanistan, according to a notice on the site. The agency typically posts tender results with a delay of several weeks.
