Romney Backs Permanent Changes Over Temporary Payroll Tax Cuts

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney said he favors “permanent changes to the tax code” over President Barack Obama’s proposal for temporary reductions in the payroll tax.

“I don’t like temporary little Band-Aids,” Romney said.

Romney spoke at a debate among Republican presidential candidates sponsored by Bloomberg LP and The Washington Post in Hanover, New Hampshire.
