National Bank of Greece, Piraeus Bank Slump in Athens Trading

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Piraeus Bank SA shares fell as much as 28 percent in early trading on the Athens exchange as Greek bank shares slumped.

Piraeus, the nation’s fourth-biggest, fell to 27 cents at 10:48 a.m. in Athens, while National Bank of Greece SA, the largest, lost 13 percent to 1.90 euros. Alpha Bank SA fell 17 percent to 97 cents, while EFG Eurobank Ergasias, the number two, lost 15 percent to 69 cents.
