PNB Buys 20.3 Million SP Setia Shares After Making Buyout Offer

Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd., Malaysia’s biggest state asset manager, bought 20.3 million ringgit of SP Setia Bhd. shares in the open market for an average 3.88 ringgit each yesterday, according to a Kuala Lumpur exchange filing.

PNB, as it’s known, also bought 6.8 million warrants at an average 89.78 sen, SP Setia said in today’s filing. The asset manager made a buyout offer for the developer at 3.90 ringgit a share on Sept. 29.
