Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said his talks this week with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos’s meetings with International Monetary Fund officials in Washington showed there is will to resolve the euro area’s debt crisis.
Papandreou said decisions made at a European Union summit on July 21 are of “vital” importance for Greece, which plans to fully honor all commitments made for financing and implement reforms. He spoke at a Cabinet meeting today, according to an e- mailed transcript from his Athens office.
