Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Gamma Civic Ltd., a Mauritian group with interests in construction and the nation’s lottery, advanced the most in seven weeks after saying profit surged fivefold for its financial year through June.
The stock gained 4.2 percent or 16 rupees to 395 rupees, the biggest rally since Aug. 10, according to data compiled by Bloomberg, and closed at its highest since Sept. 05.
Profit increased to 810.2 million rupees ($28 million) compared with 161.3 million rupees a year earlier, the company said in a statement published on the Port Louis-based Stock Exchange of Mauritius’s website today.
