Kenyan Overnight Discount Rate Stays at 8%; Interbank Rate Rises

July 1 (Bloomberg) -- Kenya’s central bank said the rate it charges commercial lenders for loans from its overnight discount window remains at 8 percent today.

The interbank rate increased to 7.9993 percent yesterday from 7.5687 a day earlier, according to the Nairobi-based bank’s website.
