BP Southern Africa Names Derbesy as Chief Executive Officer

July 1 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc’s southern Africa unit appointed Gerard Derbesy as its chief executive officer, the London-based company said in an e-mailed statement today.

Derbesy, currently head of planning performance reporting for refining and marketing, assumes his duties on Sept. 1, BP said. BP’s southern African unit also named Priscillah Mabelane as chief financial officer and Alph Ngapo as chief operating officer.
