Euro Erases Loss Versus Dollar on ECB Interest-Rate Outlook

June 29, 2011

June 29 (Bloomberg) -- The euro erased earlier losses against the dollar on speculation Greece’s debt crisis won’t prevent the European Central Bank from raising interest rates next week to cool inflation.

The shared currency traded at $1.4367 as of 1:44 p.m. in Tokyo from $1.4371 yesterday in New York, after dropping as low as $1.4338.
