Samsung Total Buys a Cargo of Naphtha for Delivery to Daesan

Samsung Total Petrochemicals Co., South Korea's third-largest ethylene maker, bought a cargo of naphtha for delivery in May, said a trader involved in the transaction.

Details of the company's purchase are as follows:

**MOPJ = Mean of Platts Japan naphtha assessment. Platts is an oil-pricing service.

Naphtha, distilled from crude oil, is a raw material for gasoline, chemicals, and plastics.

Samsung Total is equally owned by France's Total SA (FP) and South Korea's Samsung Group.
