"A New Contender In The Chip Race" (Asian Business, Apr. 26, 2004)

In "A new contender in the chip race" (Asian Business, Apr. 26), we incorrectly reported that Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (LSCC ) would take an equity stake in Fujitsu Ltd.'s (FJTSY ) new silicon wafer plant. According to Fujitsu, funds from partners like Lattice will be advance payments or deposits for chips that the plant will produce. Also, the photo caption incorrectly identifies Toshihiko Ono as Fujitsu's CEO. He is president of the company's electronics devices group.
