For nearly a year, Google designers and engineers have been working on a new look for the search engine’s search results page. I haven’t been working on the accompanying story for quite that long, but was granted an up-close-and-personal look at the process in action which saw me spending time at the company’s headquarters in Mountain View. The new design began rolling out today and our accompanying story is live. We also produced this short video, featuring insights from three of the protagonists of the project: VP Marissa Mayer, product manager Nundu Janikaram and, kicking things off, web designer, Jon Wiley. Take a look.
What comes next? The Bloomberg Businessweek Innovation and Design blog chronicles new tools for creativity and collaboration, innovation case studies in both the corporate and social sectors, and the new ideas that have the power to change the way things have always been done.
