Anyone who thinks the Ivy League is boring and buttoned down needs to take a look at Diamond, a new—oh heck, there’s no nice word for it—porn magazine making a big splash on the Harvard campus.
Launched online on Tuesday, the first issue features editor-in-chief, undergraduate Matthew M. DiPasquale—that’s him on the cover—posing in the buff. (The story, if you can call it that, is DiPasquale interviewing himself.) The only other photo spread in the issue is of “Fiona,” class of 2008, who is not nearly as revealing as DiPasquale.
DiPasquale told the Harvard Crimson that he hopes that Diamond will be different from Harvard's other sexually explicit magazine, the more artistic H-Bomb. Diamond, which is still waiting to receive official recognition as a student group, aims to “promote tolerance, exploration, and empowerment with regards to sex, dating, and relationships," he told the newspaper. Okay, well, good luck with all that.
I can't provide a link to the actual magazine--not if I want to remain gainfully employed--but it's easy enough to find with a little digging. Reader opinions are, as always, welcome.
