What do you do? I have a really intense work life. I head up the creative vision of the company and brand, and that encompasses everything from apparel to wet suits to furniture to beauty.
What’s your summer wardrobe? If I’m going to the beach, I like to be ready to go from work. So I’ll wear something a little more polished on top, like a blouse and jacket, and cut-off jeans that are not too short.
You’re not wearing any jewelry. It just seems fussy. Hair, jewelry, even makeup—I’m really low-maintenance. It’s the last thing on my mind.
What do you do at the beach? Surfing, wakeboarding, clamming, stand-up paddling, everything.
Do you really clam? Yes. We even go looking for mussels. I have to get my license renewed from last year—you need one.
Where’s your luggage? I usually travel with a toothbrush and, like, three things—even on my longest trips to Africa or Bhutan. I never check luggage.
Why a wet suit? It keeps you warm, prevents sunburn, and has a pocket for money, keys, and surf wax.
How much are you in the water? At least four hours a day. I’m obsessed.
