October Auto Sales: Chrysler


AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Chrysler Group LLC said Friday that its October U.S. sales rose 11 percent, led by the Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee large SUV.

BY THE NUMBERS: The Auburn Hills, Mich.-based automaker said it sold 140,083 cars and trucks last month, up from 126,185 a year ago.

TOP SELLERS: Ram pickup sales were up 18 percent to 29,846. Grand Cherokee sales increased 20 percent to 14,263.

HOT MODELS: Dodge Durango SUV sales rose 59 percent to 5,120. Dodge Charger muscle car sales rose 60 percent to 7,864.
