Grain futures mixed, livestock prices rise


CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices were mixed Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery was flat at $8.12 a bushel; March corn slipped 1 cent to $7.2450 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.8525 a bushel; while January soybeans jumped 15 cents to $14.8850 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.47 cent to $1.3227 a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.80 cent to $1.5355 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.40 cent to 86.05 cents a pound.
