December 11, 2012

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Wheat Commission is holding its annual meeting in Fargo.

The two-day event Tuesday and Wednesday will include discussion about market promotion programs and export opportunities, as well as wheat research. County representatives also will be providing input on commission programs and funding for the coming year.

The wheat commission works to increase the use of wheat grown in North Dakota. Farmers fund the work with a checkoff of 1 ½ cents on each bushel of wheat they sell.
