NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are up at 10 a.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.08 or .2 percent, to $33.35.

Gold Fields rose $.13 or 1.1 percent, to $11.67.

GoldCorp. rose $.16 or .4 percent, to $40.02.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.24 or .5 percent, to $45.77.
