Johnson & Johnson rose $.12 or .2 percent, to $69.80.

Eli Lilly & Co. fell $.24 or .5 percent, to $47.58.

Merck fell $.06 or .1 percent, to $43.96.

Pfizer fell $.14 or .6 percent, to $23.97.
