Richmond Fed leader attending W.Va. conference


MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will be the keynote speaker at a conference in West Virginia's capital.

Jeffrey Lacker will address the annual Economic Outlook Conference on Nov. 15 at the Charleston Civic Center.

It's the first time a member of the Federal Reserve Board has appeared at the event.

Lacker has been president of the Richmond Fed since 2004.

The conference will provide overviews of the global, U.S. and state economies.

Other speakers include West Virginia University economists, deputy state revenue secretary Mark Muchow and Tom Jones, president and CEO of the West Virginia United Healthcare System.

Officials with the Boy Scouts of America will also attend and discuss its West Virginia projects.
