Hospira rose $.24 or .7 percent, to $32.85.

Johnson & Johnson rose $.52 or .8 percent, to $68.49.

Eli Lilly & Co. fell $.24 or .5 percent, to $50.36.

Merck rose $.47 or 1.0 percent, to $45.92.

Pfizer fell $.03 or .1 percent, to $25.09.
