NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.63 or 1.5 percent, to $42.11.

Gold Fields fell $.24 or 1.8 percent, to $13.30.

GoldCorp. fell $.90 or 1.9 percent, to $45.98.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.56 or 1.0 percent, to $56.29.
