NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are mixed at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.54 or 1.4 percent, to $38.17.

Gold Fields fell $.33 or 2.4 percent, to $13.34.

GoldCorp. rose $.35 or .9 percent, to $40.69.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.04 or .1 percent, to $49.26.
