NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top big-box retail companies were down at the close of trading:

Costco Wholesale Corp. fell $.79 or .8 percent, to $94.74.

Target fell $.69 or 1.1 percent, to $62.99.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. fell $.21 or .3 percent, to $71.56.
