FT.COM
The parent of the venerable pink paper is investing more than $400 million in the Net. The Financial Times relaunched a beefed-up FT.com in February, and is starting a European joint venture with CBSMarketWatch.com.

THESTREET.COM
Its first European operation, TheStreet.co.uk opened on Feb. 15 and is staffed by 20 London journalists.

WSJ.COM
Dow Jones has redesigned The Wall Street Journal Europe, started offering free online access to European subscribers, and is doubling its European online staff in the next year.

YAHOO! FINANCIAL
The portal already operates in eight European nations. It recently began producing original financial news and has set up joint ventures with Europe's Net-savvy banks.

GLOBALNET FINANCIAL.COM
The 1997 upstart is betting it can take on the big boys by selling financial services online and partnering with European Internet service providers.
