UNLIMITED SPACE FOR PEANUTSThe plunging cost of disk drives has hit removable storage. The newest, and cheapest, entrant is the SparQ 1.0 drive for Windows from SyQuest Technology (512-226-4000). It's $199 with one 1 gigabyte cartridge. Additional cartridges are $40 each or three for $100. It comes in two versions: an external unit that connects through the printer port or an internal one that can share a cable connection with the existing hard drive. The drive's essentially unlimited capacity would be handy for such disk-intensive work as digital sound, video, or image editing.
