July 9 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Emergency Management Agency administrator Craig Fugate, Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Thomas Winkowski, a U.S. immigration and customs enforcement deputy assistant secretary, testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs about challenges at the southern border and the rise in illegal child immigrants. Mark Greenberg, acting assistant secretary for children and families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Francisco Palmieri, deputy assistant secretary for the Caribbean and Central America at the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Juan Osuna, director of the Department of Justice's Executive Office of Immigration Review, also testify before the committee.
