Fresno Mayor on Her Run for California Controller Play

June 12 (Bloomberg) -- Fresno, California, Mayor Ashley Swearengin, a Republican, talks with Bloomberg's Alison Vekshin about her decision to run for state controller and the city's brush with bankruptcy. Swearengin is vying to become the first Republican since 1975 to hold the job of California's chief financial officer in a state that traditionally elects Democrats. With the votes still being counted from this month's primary election Swearengin is the only Republican in a statewide race in the lead against Democratic challengers. (Source: Bloomberg)
