Golfers Tracked by GPS as USGA Bids to Speed Play Play

June 4 (Bloomberg) -- Matt Pringle, technical director for the U.S. Golf Association, talks with Bloomberg's Michael Buteau about the USGA's project to track the exact movements and playing habits of golfers to prod them to play faster. Thousands of U.S. golfers are carrying a mini GPS tracker in their pockets as the USGA gathers data that might one day lead to course owners widening fairways or changing start times to speed up play.
