India's Modi `Will Be Welcomed' by U.S.: Carney Play

May 16 (Bloomberg) -- White House Press Secretary Jay Carney speaks about India's election and a possible visit by the country's next prime minister, Narendra Modi, to the U.S. Modi has been denied a visa since 2005 because of deadly anti-Muslim violence in his state. Carney, speaking at the daily White House news conference, also discusses U.S. immigration legislation, the Ukraine crisis and China's placement of an oil rig near islands claimed by both Vietnam and China.
