How Starbucks Is Canceling the Coffee Apocalypse Play

Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- On a 600-acre coffee farm in Costa Rica, Starbucks is fighting a plague. A massive fungus outbreak has hit Central and South American coffee crops hard, reducing harvests of the Arabica species of coffee plant by up to 40 percent over the last 2 years. Scientists at Starbucks' farm are attempting to cultivate a new, fungus-resistant strain of coffee plant and put a stop to the coffee apocalypse. (Source: Bloomberg)
