Reid Proposes Change in Senate Nominee Rules Play

Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid proposes changing the chamber’s rules to limit the minority’s ability to block presidential nominations using tactics such as filibusters. Speaking on the Senate floor, Reid, a Nevada Democrat, said since the nation was founded, half of the 168 nominees delayed in the Senate using the procedure were selections of President Barack Obama.
